Alice B. Campbell, 84

Alice Bennett Barnhart Campbell, 84, went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2004. She passed peacefully at the Alzheimer's Center at Life Care Center in Sandpoint, Idaho, where she had been lovingly cared for over the last two years.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at the First Presbyterian Church in Sandpoint.

Alice was born in Ontario, Canada, on Dec. 7, 1919, to Ralph and Theresa Barnhart.

She met and married Lyle Campbell on March 21, 1946, in Buffalo, N.Y. Together, they raised their sons in New York, Colorado, Arizona and, later, California.

Alice retired from the Fullerton Union School District, where she was the high school registrar from 1964 to 1981. Lyle and Alice moved from Green Valley, Ariz., to Sandpoint in 2002.

She is best remembered for her love of God and the church, her honesty, integrity, kindness, meticulousness and politeness. She enjoyed traveling over the years with Lyle and took delight in the people and places they visited.

Alice is survived by her husband, Lyle, of Sandpoint; her sister, Grace of Port Richey, Fla.; her two sons, Bruce (Susie) Campbell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Roger (Diana) Campbell of Sandpoint; five grandchildren, Amber (Todd) Snow of Anaheim Hills, Calif., Brandon Campbell of Tustin, Calif., Brian and Adam Campbell of Bozeman, Mont., and Scott Campbell of Sandpoint; and a great-grandchild, Patience Snow.

Remembrances in her honor may be made to the First Presbyterian Hymnal Fund, 417 N. Fourth Ave., Sandpoint, Idaho, 83864.

Final arrangements were under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
