U13-BOYS: The U13 Boys played in the Northwest Cup over the weekend and ended up winning two games and losing two. With only one substitute for the weekend and various injuries, the boys did an excellent job of digging deep and playing their hardest.
In the first game, the boys played the Breakers and won the game 8-2 on goals by Anders Nostdahl (2), Zac Linscott, Austin Lies (2), Daniel Anderson, Keegan Dunn and Mikka Nostdahl on assists by Tyler Swarm, Tucker Rickard and Zac Linscott.
The second game matched the boys against the Express River Hawks with the Strikers coming out on top 3-0 on goals by Anders Nostdahl and Daniel Anderson on assists by Dash Kamp and Daniel Anderson (2).
For the third game, the team found themselves playing in 100 degree heat and only having one substitute seemed to take its toll. While they lost 0-3, the game was close for much of the match.
In the last game, the Strikers found themselves up against a Washington Premier League team, the Snohomish United. The boys played well and were only down 0-1 at half but ended up 0-6 at the end of the game. Splitting the responsibilities for goal keeper for the weekend were Keegan Dunn, Tyler Swarm, Tucker Rickard and Daniel Anderson.
Overall for the season, the Striker boys are now at 6-4-1.
