Wilhelmina Christina Schranck, 89

Wilhelmina Christina Schranck, 89, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at her home with her family at her side.

Private family service were held on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Coffelt's Moon Chapel with Pastor Steve Nickodemus from Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Interment is at Blooming Valley Cemetery in Corsica, S.D.

Wilhelmina was born on June 13, 1915, in Dimock, S.D., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hohn. She married Lawrence E. Schranck on June 2, 1938, in Mt. Vernon, S.D. They had one son, Larry.

Over her life, she resided in eastern South Dakota, Rapid City, S.D., and Green Lake, Wis. The past 20 years she lived in a very peaceful rural setting overlooking a mountain lake near Sagle, Idaho. It was here she and her husband raised llamas until the time of his death in 1993. She was devoted to her family, was an avid reader and enjoyed working outdoors.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Larry and Patricia (Hart) Schranck; eight grandchildren, Lee, Christine, Mark, Jay, Julie, Stephanie, Theresa and Megan; and three great-grandchildren, Lance, Lynzie and Dean. She was looking forward to the birth of her fourth great-grandchild, who will be born in November. She is additionally survived by several nieces and nephews.

Wilhelmina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry; three brothers, five sisters and numerous cousins.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
