Edward Raymond Hester, 56, passed away, Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at his home in Colburn, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint, Idaho, with Pastor Jeff Bradley of the Calvary Chapel officiating. Burial will follow at the McArthur Cemetery with Military Honors under the Auspices of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2453.

Ed was born on Sept. 19, 1947, in Oceanside, Calif., to Vernon and Rae Madeline (Helm) Hester. Ed grew up and attended school in Vista, Calif. He served his country in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany in the late 1960s.

Ed owned a pet grooming business in Rancho Bernardo, Calif., called the Pet Parlor. After selling the business he moved to the Sandpoint area in 2002. In Sandpoint, Ed worked for Handyman Services.

Ed enjoyed life and sharing God's word. He has gone to be with the "Author" and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. His hobbies included billiards, hiking, and working with his hands.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sarah and Rachael Hester of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Vance (Carol) Hester of San Antonio, Texas; two nieces, Christy Holand of San Antonio, Texas, and Cathy (Jason) Bruce of Ft. Worth, Texas; four great-nieces, Jordan and Regan Holand, and Mauryn and Sadie Bruce; and special friends, Larry (Deb) Beeler of Sandpoint, Idaho; and Barry of California.
