Panida is non-profit and non-political

| August 31, 2004 9:00 PM

For those of you who missed reading it the first time in my film article, I want to reiterate that the Panida Theater did not pay for the young adult tickets nor did we register voters during the showing of "Fahrenheit 9/11." The Vote Hope Campaign paid for the young adults' admission and was available to register new voters. The Panida did not allow the distribution of any political material during that evening.

The Panida Theater is a 501(C3) non-profit organization that does not support nor endorse any political or religious belief or stand. Just the opposite; we feel that the Panida should be a meeting place and a venue for a variety of points of view, such as the Healing Power of Pets, the Republican Candidates Forum, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, the Eagles Convention, the U.S. Air Force Band, Bible Prophecy in the Last Days, the Tibetan Monks and the First Christian Church's Christmas programs, to name but a few. We encourage the community to call for the facts before forming an opinion.
