CLARK FORK — Timberlake outscored Clark Fork 17-2 in the first quarter and 19-6 in the final eight minutes to win its nonleague game.

Timberlake junior Lynsie Powers scored 24 points to lead all scorers. Dianna Lablanc had five steals and four points. Lauren Brunko eight points and eight rebounds for the Tigers (3-2).

The Wampus Cats did manage to a strong showing in the third period, outscoring Timberlake 13-9.

Junior Jolene Meredith led the Wampus Cats (0-2) with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Michelle Trunnell had eight rebounds, freshman Megan Hess earned three assists and Reina Allen grabbed six steals. Junior Tiffany Van Buren finished with eight points and junior Tia Becker added five rebounds and four steals.

Both or Clark Fork's losses have been to Timberlake.

Timberlake opens the Intermountain League schedule Thursday at St. Maries.

The Wampus Cats play Wallace in Clark Fork Tuesday night.
