Why can't people express themselves

Regarding Mr. Chris White's letter about the openly religious sign on First and Superior, I would just say, relax Chris. If you are free to not believe, then please don't be offended by those who do. Go on with your life and let other's pay respect to their beliefs or lack thereof, how they see fit. I can't imagine that the sign was put up to offend anyone. It's one person's freedom of speech and religion in action. One person being thankful and welcoming in the name of his hometown.

You wouldn't want to take that away from an individual would you? I find it more offensive nowadays when people have to feel bound to being so politically correct. Why can't people express themselves? You certainly did. And by the way, Merry Christmas.
