Lakers make some noise in Eureka

| July 1, 2004 9:00 PM

EUREKA, Mont. — Racking up 21 hits, the Riley Creek Lakers cruised to an 18-9 non-league victory over Eureka Wednesday afternoon.

"It was fun to go up there and play," said Riley Creek coach Rick Klontz. "It gave everyone a chance to get into the ball game. We had a lot of hits and runs but still managed to strand 11 runners in scoring postion. (Nevertheless) timely hitting is still something we need focus on."
