Clyde H. Pearson, 90
Clyde H. Pearson, 90, of Sagle, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2004, in Sandpoint.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Inurnment will take place at the new Lakeview cremation columbarium.
Clyde was born on March 19, 1914, in Caldwell, to Clarence and Bernice (Cover) Pearson. He grew up and attended schools in the Caldwell area.
On March 19, 1937, Clyde married Frances Painter in Homedale. The couple had known each other from the time they were small children.
Clyde served his country for a short time in the United States Navy during World War II before being honorably discharged. He returned home and started a farm in Homedale where the family raised chickens to be used as fryers.
In 1952 Clyde went to work for Boeing, where he worked as a machinist, running heavy duty stamps and presses to manufacture parts. The family made their home in Kent, Wash. Clyde retired in 1978 and moved to the Sandpoint area where the family had camped on vacations.
He enjoyed fishing, working, farming, and carpentry. He built the family's home in Kent.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Pearson of Sagle, two sons, Delbert Pearson of Tumwater, Wash., and Bob Pearson of Auburn, Wash. He was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Pearson.
