SANDPOINT - An 11-year-old boy was shot and killed by another child Wednesday on Grouse Meadow Road.

Boy killed in accidental shooting

The shooting appears to be accidental, according to a press release from the Bonner County Sheriff's Office. It was reported at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday through a 911 call. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office declined to reveal more information. Repeated calls were not returned.

The investigation is ongoing.
