Dawn Louise (Rasmussen) McKee, 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Priest River Ward, in Priest River with Bishop George Kovac officiating. Inurnment will be held at the Hindsdale, Mont., Cemetery at a later date.

Dawn was born on Aug. 13, 1935, in Hindsdale, Mont., the daughter of John and Matilda (Bundus) Rasmussen. She grew up around the Glasgow and Fort Peck area, attending grade school and graduating from high school there. She was an active cheerleader in high school.

She moved to San Diego, Calif., in 1955 and worked as a secretary for the San Diego School District superintendent and retired in 1992.

Dawn met and married George McKee in San Diego, Calif., on Aug. 17, 1996, living in San Diego for two years before moving to Laclede in 1998.

She enjoyed quilting, traveling and her family.

She is survived by her husband, George McKee of Laclede; a son, David Richardson of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Pamela Mecham of Green River, Wyo., and Lois Burgess of Salt Lake City, Utah; stepchildren, Mike McKee of Laclede, Patrick McKee of Sacramento, Calif., Pam Rader of San Diego, Calif., Larry McKee of Portland, Ore., and Samantha Lederer of San Diego, Calif.; 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; four sisters, Joanne Knuteson of Great Falls, Mont., Delilah (Dee) Halteman of Glasgow, Mont., Ethel Partridge of Glasgow, Mont., and Doris Reiber of Furcrest, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Matilda; sisters Leone and Chris; a stepdaughter, Sandy; and a great-grandchild, Ivy.

Memorials may be made to the North Idaho Cancer Institute of Coeur d'Alene.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
