Elvera 'Vera' J. Rheinschmidt, 82, passed away May 29, 2004, at Avalon Health and Rehab of Pasco, Wash.

As requested, there will be no services.

Vera was born June 24, 1921, in Greely, Neb., to Charles and Sophia Mostek.

Vera married Howard Rheinschmidt on Sept. 19, 1941, in Sandpoint. In 1962, they settled in Richland, Wash.

She retired at the age of 74 from restaurant work.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; seven brothers, a sister, a son, David; and a grandson, Phillip.

She is survived by her sister, Doris Evans of Dover; sons Jack (Evelyn) of Port Orchard, Wash., Tony of Bremerton, Wash., and Robert of Richland, Wash.; grandchildren, Mathew, Joanna, Daniel, Jared, and Marlene; and great-grandchildren, Katie, Abraham and Isaac.
