MILFOIL TREATMENT

| June 1, 2004 9:00 PM

Bonner County Noxious Weed Control has arranged for herbicide treatment of the Eurasian Milfoil infestations in Thama Slouth, Memorial park to Hwy 95 and Ellisport Bay.

The product to be used is Renovate with Tricolor.

The dates and areas for treatment are as follows:

June 7 through 12, 2004 - Thama Slough, Memorial Park to Highway 95 and Ellisport Bay.

Bright orange signs will be placed along the shorelines of affected areas to inform residents that treatment will soon occur and that the restrictions are in place. Watch for these signs if you use the water from the lake for any reason. Once the signs are removed the restrictions are no longer in effect.

MORE THAN 1/4 MILE from the herbicide treatment locations: There are no restrictions on water usage for owners of property or water intakes more than 1/4 mile away from herbicide treatment sites.

WITHIN 1/4 MILE of herbicide treatment locations: For owners of property or water intakes within 1/4 mile, there are restrictions on the use of the treated water. These restrictions are based on studies that determine the breakdown of the product and provide substantial safety margins beyond the known breakdown period. There is NO restriction for swimming or fishing. The following use restrictions must be observed:

Human consumption - 5 days

Irrigation - 5 days
