Skate park vital to our community

I would like to strongly encourage the Sandpoint City Council to recognize the importance of building a community skate park, and to take steps toward getting it done.

A skate park should be thought of in the same way as a baseball field or a basketball court. It is fundamental to every community and is the best investment the city could make.

By giving our kids (and adults) a place to go to enjoy the sport of skateboarding, we would benefit business owners, parents, tourists, skaters and fountain users alike. All for less than the cost of two tennis courts or one public restroom. Please do what is right for the community as a whole.
