Derrick Edward Justice, 25

Derrick Edward Justice was only 25 years old when he passed away Friday, June 11, 2004, on Highway 95, Mt. Hall Hill. He died from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

Almost four years earlier his mother, 24-year old sister and 6-year old niece also were killed in a vehicle accident.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2004, at the Community Fellowship Church in Bonners Ferry. Pastor Stan Martin will officiate. Inurement services will be conducted immediately following memorial service in the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.

Derrick was born in Roseburg, Ore. on Sept. 25, 1978, the son of Sandra Shiell.

He grew up in the Bonners Ferry area and attended local schools in the area.

Derrick lived in Naples and was a valued transportation specialists manager at Excel Transpor-tation.

He was an intelligent, hard-working young man and would always go out of his way to help others.

Derrick attended Community Fellowship church and loved all his brothers and sisters there.

Derrick was a fun and loving uncle to Kyle Paulus who absolutely adored his favorite uncle.

Derrick loved to work on his truck. He also loved construction and was very good at it.

Derrick was a grandson, father, nephew, uncle and brother-in-law. Most of all, he was a gentle, loving friend to all.

Derrick has taken a piece of everyone's heart that knew and loved him. Revelations 21:4.

Derrick is survived by a daughter, Sabrina Rutherford-Claus of Boise; a grandmother, Barbara Shiell of Roseburg, Ore.; uncle and aunt, Gary and Sandra Shiell of Roseburg, Ore.; Catherine Wilder of Roseburg, Ore.; Gordon and Janice Shiell of Bonners Ferry; a nephew, Kyle Paulus of Naples; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Paulus of Naples; and cousins, Misty Shiell, Kenny, Tonya, Bryan Ayers, Candy Fayak, Salina Wiefelhofer.

Derrick was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Shiell, 47; a sister, Heather Paulus, 24; a niece, Kaylin Paulus, 6; a grandfather, Gregory Shiell; and an uncle, Darryl Shiell.
