Riley Creek Lakers overpower Great Falls

COEUR d'ALENE — Eric Lichty had three hits, including a double, and Glen Poelstra added two more to lead the Sandpoint Lakers to a 7-1 victory over Great Falls, Mont., Saturday in the Cranston Memorial AA American Legion tournament at McEuen Field.
The Lakers (7-6), who beat the Boise Senators the day before, scored seven runs on 10 hits.
Noah Hawkins, Justin Watson, Chris Karle, Adam Hodges and Tyler Crabb had hits for Sandpoint.
Hawkins got the start for the Lakers and scattered six hits over seven innings.
Sandpoint plays West Kootenay of Trail, British Columbia, today at 5 p.m. and finishes up on Sunday against Cranbrook, B.C.
