Jeffrey E. Randolph, 50

| March 1, 2004 8:00 PM

Jeffrey E. Randolph passed away on Feb. 25, 2004 in Sandpoint at the age of 50 due to a brain tumor.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2004, at the First Christian Church in Sandpoint with Pastor Tony Nelson officiating.

Jeffrey was born on Feb. 22, 1954, in Euclid, Ohio, the son of Edward and Rose (Shaw) Randolph.

He grew up in Euclid and achieved his great height of 6 feet 8 inches at an early age. His size and attitude made him an exceptional basketball player.

"Sticks," as he was affectionately called during his high school basketball career, never lost his enthusiasm for the game of basketball. He always enjoyed a good game of hoops.

He served with the U.S. Army following high school and was very proud to have had the opportunity and privilege to serve his country.

Jeffrey fell in love with the great Northwest while visiting his family in Sandpoint. Spokane and Sandpoint were his home for the past 14 years.

He was an avid nature lover and enjoyed fishing and hiking especially with his beloved dogs, Brutus and Dawn.

His lifetime passion was for automobiles. He was a natural mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with cars since his youth. His love of the auto eventually led to a career in sales with Downtown Toyota in Spokane.

He retired from sales upon the onset of his illness and returned to Sandpoint. He made many lasting friendships with his fellow workers and his "special customers" who became his extended family.

Jeff will be missed by his family and friends and had a full and adventuresome life from the moment of his birth.

As was his wish, we do not mourn but rejoice for him as he "is starting his new life." Jeff's strong belief in God and an afterlife stands as an inspiration to all.

Memorials may be made to Bonner Community Hospice, P.O. Box 1448, Sandpoint, Idaho, 83864.

Survivors include his mother, Rose Randolph of Euclid, Ohio; sisters, Rita (Michael) Lefler of Sandpoint, and Alice (Dr. James) Trouten of Richmond Heights, Ohio; a brother, Douglas (Missy) Randolph of Columbus, Ohio; his nieces and nephews, Steven Smith, Brian and Jennifer Smith, Matthew Smith, Marsh Lefler, Heather and Bradley Trouten, Gregory, Michael, Nicholas, Anthony, Corey and Matthew Randolph.
