Notice is hereby given that the Sandpoint Planning Commission will hold separate public hearings at their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 1123 Lake Street, Sandpoint, ID, to consider the following:

VAC04-01 - A request by Bonner County Fairgrounds to obtain a variance for a freestanding kiosk sign which would exceed the 10-foot maximum height set forth in Sandpoint City Code. As proposed, the 18-foot tall sign would be located at the southeast corner of the Fairgrounds property and be used to advertise Fairgrounds events.

Complete files for the above are available for review upon request at the Sandpoint Planning Department. Any person needing special accommodations to participate in the above noticed meeting should contact the City of Sandpoint seven days prior to the meeting at City Hall, 1123 Lake Street, Sandpoint (263-3370).

NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT ON A PERMIT APPLICATION WITH THE OPTION TO REQUEST A PUBLIC

COMMENT PERIOD ON THE PROPOSED PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT

SUBJECT: Application for a permit to construct an air pollution-emitting source and proposed action: Interstate Concrete and Asphalt Co., Sandpoint.

PURPOSE: The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has scheduled a period to receive public comments on the air quality aspects of the project application.

AUTHORITY: In compliance with Section 58.01.01.209, Rules for the Control of Air Pollution in Idaho, notice is hereby given that Interstate Concrete and Asphalt Co, Sandpoint, Idaho has applied to DEQ for a permit to construct an air pollution source located at 0.25 miles west of Boyer road on north side of Baldy road.

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Pursuant to Section 58.01.01.209, a public comment period on the proposed permit may be provided if written requests are submitted to the undersigned on or before April 1, 2004.

DESCRIPTIVE SUMMARY: Interstate Concrete and Asphalt Co., Sandpoint is a hotmix asphalt, aggregate handling and batch concrete plant. They are requesting a permit to construct to allow the use of on-spec oil as fuel for the asphalt plant dryer.

AVAILABILITY OF MATERIALS: The permit application materials submitted by Interstate Concrete and Asphalt Co. will be available for public review at the following location:
