Art Ginter, 80

Art Ginter, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed into the arms of the Lord on March 2, 2004.

At Art's request, there will be no memorial service.

Art was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Easton, Mo.

He served his country during World War II in the 115th medical battalion and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

After returning from the service, Art worked as a logger in Sandpoint and then started his own business, Art's Electric, before retiring to Hope and eventually to Spokane.

He had a great love of nature, enjoying photography and gardening. Art was known for his beautiful nature photography, which he enjoyed sharing with others. He also loved his enormous garden, which he shared with everybody.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois Charlotte Schultz Ginter; his son, Steve Ginter and wife, Lois, of Burbank, Wash.; his daughter, Sandy Reiber and husband, Steve, of Spokane; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers and five sisters.

All donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane.

Spokane Cremation and Burial Service is in charge of arrangements.
