Walt Curtis of Athol passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2004, doing what he loved — snowmobiling.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Yates Funeral Home located at 744 N. 4th St. in Coeur d' Alene, with a reception to follow at Templin's Red Lion Resort in Post Falls.

Walt worked for Norm's Utility for seven years and was currently employed by S.A. Gonzales Construction in Newman Lake, Wash.

He is survived by his wife, Tonyalee; his two daughters, Brandie and Lacy; his 7-month-old granddaughter, Madisin; and his brand new grandson, Conner, who was born at 8:52 a.m. on Sunday, March 7. He is also survived by his parents, Paul and Elise Curtis of Colville, Wash., his mother-in-law and father-in-Law, Toby and Kitty Sloan of Pomerene, Ariz.; two brothers; and a sister.

A benefit account has been set up at Panhandle State Bank, P.O. Box 246, Post Falls, ID 83877, in Walt's name.

Yates Funeral Home of Coeur d'Alene is in charge of arrangements.
