Theo M. Snyder, 77, passed away in Sandpoint on Thursday, March 11, 2004.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, in the Sandpoint Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services will be under the direction of Bishop Jeff Howell, with interment following in the Pack River Cemetery.

Friends are invited to pay their respects at Coffelt's Moon Chapel on Sunday, March 14, from 4-6 p.m.

Theo was born in Upalco, Utah, on Sept. 21, 1926, the daughter of Ephriam and Linda Mecham.

She married Curtis Snyder in the Duchesne, Utah, on May 23, 1946, and moved to the Sandpoint area in 1951. In 1952, the family built a home in the Selle area, where they have resided since.

She was a member of the Sandpoint Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and past president of the Relief Society. She was active in the PTA at Northside School and served as president. For many years, she served on the election board at the Selle Grange.

Theo enjoyed all needlework, entering her quilts in the Bonner County Fair and winning many ribbons.

She is survived by her husband, Curt Snyder of Sandpoint; four daughters, Charlotte Anderton of Post Falls, Kathryn (Marc) Enggas of Des Plaines, Ill., Peggy Snyder of Kalispell, Mont., and Reno Snyder of Sandpoint; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Neer of Sagle, Retta Williams of Sandpoint, and Lenore Sumsion of Salt Lake City Utah; two brothers, Lyle Mecham of Sandpoint and William Mecham of Laclede; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a son, Joel.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
