Lake City gets the best of Sandpoint

COEUR d'ALENE — Brian Baker drilled a two-run home run in the third inning to lead Lake City over Sandpoint 6-2 on Tuesday in Inland Empire League baseball action.

Dan Lau (1-1) picked up his first win of the year giving up only two runs. in six innings of work.

Both teams had six hits but the Buldogs walked several players that came around to score for Lake City.

The Timberwolves (2-2) host Lakeland on Friday.
