Terrorism is factor in upcoming elections

| March 22, 2004 8:00 PM

I disagree with Gabrielle Duebendorfer's letter of March 9. Sept. 11 was not a tragedy, it was an atrocity. It was a vile, unprovoked act of aggression.

A tragedy makes one sad; an atrocity evokes anger and outrage. Yes, it is also a tragedy for the families who lost friends and loved ones. But for most Americans, it was an atrocity and I, for one, want to be assured that everything possible is being done to ensure that it will never happen again.

So Mr. or Ms. Candidate for Whatever Office, what have you done since 9-11 and what do you plan to do about terrorism if elected/reelected? I want to see it in your ads and I want to hear it in your speeches.
