Suspect sought in abduction attempt

BLANCHARD — Bonner County Sheriff's officials are turning to the public in identifying a suspect who attempted to abduct a 12-year-old girl last week.

The attempted abduction reportedly happened Thursday on the town's outskirts, when the girl was walking home from school.

The suspect is described as a male in his mid-20s with a medium build. He has black hair and a beard, but no moustache. The man was last seen driving a brown car with a dented truck and the license plate was described as being "all white."

Sheriff's officials did not return a call Tuesday seeking comment.
