War on terrorism is one we have to win

Although I don't disagree with the author of the letter in the April 29 edition about General Petraus, his characterization of the president and his administration as being illegitimate, corrupt, and arrogant is not only childish, untrue, and ignorant, it's unbecoming of a former marine. He should get his head out of the jar, stop listening to left-wing propaganda, and realize that we are engaged in a world-wide war. To be sure there's been mistakes in policy and timing, but this is a war that we have to win.
