Badgers let the Tigers loose

| May 4, 2004 9:00 PM

BONNERS FERRY — First place Timberlake used a six-run, fifth inning rally to erase a 2-1 deficit and beat last place Bonners Ferry in an Intermountain League game. Badgers starter Will Winn hit a batter to start the fifth, got two outs, and then hit another batter on an 0-2 pitch. The Tigers then had five singles in a row, two bloops behind first and three soft infield hits, to take control of the game.

"We played them tough the whole game," said Badger coach Tom Turpin, " But once again we were killed by one bad inning. We are going into districts with absolutely no pressure on us, and our ten seniors aren't ready to quit yet so we'll see what happens."

Marshall Huffman had a single and a double to lead Timberlake, and Garret Wikum had two singles.

Bonners Ferry was led by Ben Turner with a double and two singles.
