Roland A. 'Jim' Wall
Roland A. "Jim" Wall passed through this life on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Rockwood Retirement Community in Spokane at the age of 95.
A private family service will be held.
He was born May 28, 1908 in Holmen, Wis.
Jim lived and worked in Spokane in the automotive parts wholesale distribution business. He worked for Sunset Electric, then owned and operated Chase Engineering and Jobbers Warehouse in the auto parts business for 60 years in Spokane. He was a life member of Elks Lodge 228 and loyal member of the WSU Cougar Club. Jim is survived by and dearly loved by his wife, Mary Wall; sons Dave Wall of Sandpoint, Gene Owen of Yakima, Wash., Pete Owen of Utah and Richard Heyden of Federal Way, Wash.; daughters Sue Miller of Vancouver, Wash., and Anne Kuechenmeister of Walla Walla, Wash. His 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren are well aware of the "specialness" of their Grandpa. They have sought his wisdom and counsel, loved his humor and shared his loyalty and support for WSU Cougar athletics, fishing adventures and golfing outings — as all have who truly knew him.
At the expressed wishes of Jim, there will be no funeral service. He asks that you remember the fun times enjoyed, love and respect each other unconditionally (people and nations) to develop world peace, and laugh a lot.
He considers this transformation a promotion and is, at this moment, filled with joy.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to either WSU Athletics, P.O. Box 64102, Pullman, WA 99164 or Multiple Sclerosis Society, 818 East Sharp, Spokane, WA 99202.
Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe, is in charge of arrangements.
