Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2004, at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens in Klamath Falls, Ore.

Earl was born Nov. 17, 1905, in Salida, Colo., to Elmer Clinton Clark and Carrie Delphine (Smith) Clark.

The family lived in Salida for several years before moving to Saquache, Colo., where they had a large sheep ranch.

During his high school years, they moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, where he graduated from high school in 1925. Following graduation the family moved to Dairy, Ore., and then to Merrill where they farmed.

After moving to Merrill, the Clarks lived close to the Beasly farm where he met and married his wife of 70 years, Pauline (Beasly) Clark.

In 1942-1945 Earl worked as a lead electrician at Swan Island shipyard in Portland, Ore., where they built tankers for World War II. Following the war they returned to Klamath Falls, where he worked in several of the mills and as an electrician.

In 1955 he went to work for Klamath County School District as custodian and school bus driver for Peterson School, retiring from there in 1970.

Earl was an avid skier, hunter, and fisherman enjoying many hours of these activities with his wife, Pauline.

He spent a lot of time in the outdoors bird watching, enjoying the wild flowers and enjoying the solitude of sitting quietly watching the wildlife. His wife was always at his side.

He was also an avid photographer taking pictures of wildflowers, wildlife and his grandchildren. His grandchildren and great grand children were a great joy to him.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Clark of Klamath Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene (LaVell) Vincent of Sandpoint; six grandchildren; Michelle (Paul) Marchant of Oakley, Shauna (Mike) Bailey of Garland, Utah, Cathrine (Ray) Hunsaker of Sandpoint, Jonathan (Kassie) Vincent of Pocatello, Jeremy (Laura) Vincent of Nampa, and Jared (Lindsey) Vincent of Mesa, Ariz.; 20 great-grandchildren, a niece, Beverly (Billy) Graves of Klamath Falls, and a nephew Richard (Joann) Clark of Klamath Falls.
