Marvin Lee Harris, 67

Marvin Lee Harris, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2004, at his home he shared with his wife, Lois (Saccone) Harris in Sagle.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Sandpoint Christian Center in Sandpoint. A memorial service also will be held at Santa Rosa Bible Church in August.

Marv was born in Duarte, Calif., on Jan. 3, 1937, the son of Levi and Emily (Peters) Harris, and grew up in Monrovia, Calif.

He was a graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in business. He also spent his professional life in specialty roofing, coatings and waterproofing.

Marv served in the United States Army National Guard and was active in sports recruiting of boys and girls for scholarships at USC.

He was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Saccone-Harris of Sagle; sons, Grant S. (Jodi) Harris and Spencer L. (Tammy) Harris; daughter, Camille Harris; stepsons, Kenneth W. (Susie) DeMartini and John W. (Sharon) DeMartini; stepdaughter, Vicki L. (Tracy) Turner; and two granddaughters, a grandson, and seven step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service, Inc., of Sandpoint.
