Family seeks help finding missing woman

PRIEST RIVER — The family of a Priest River woman who has been missing since March 25 is asking the public's help in finding her.

Christine Lott, 33, was last seen by her husband, Steve, getting into a red 1990s Ford pickup with Washington license plates at about 11 a.m. at Mitchell's Harvest Foods, after making a brief phone call from a pay phone.

According to Christine's sister, Angela Kucera-Baker of Bonners Ferry, Christine and Steve had argued earlier in the day and Christine asked to be dropped off at the store. The couple had already sent their two youngest children, Lucas, 10, and Sean, 12, off to school.

Christine is the daughter of Leonard and Lucille Kucera Jr. of Moyie Springs. The family is concerned she is being held somewhere against her will.

"We need to know if she's OK," Lucille Kucera said. "It's not like her not to at least call."

Kucera-Baker said Christine may have been upset after her eldest son, Raymond, 14, went to stay with his father, Ray Flinn of Silverton, just a few days earlier.

Steve Lott spent two days looking for his wife before notifying other family members of her disappearance or reporting her missing to the Bonner County Sheriff's Office.

At first, family members thought she might have left to cool off, but they say it is very unlike her to abandon her sons, and said they've checked with everyone they know whom she may have contacted without success.

Christine is 5'4", weighs about 105 pounds, has blue eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact BCSO Sgt. Gary Johnston at (208) 448-1521 or Capt. Jim Drake at (208) 263-8417.
