The City of Sandpoint Public Works Department and the City of Ponderay in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby give notice of the cities' intent to revise the Sand Creek floodway, generally located between the mouth of Sand Creek upstream to the Union Pacific rail bridge beyond State Highway 200. Specifically, the floodway shall be revised from a point 16 feet upstream of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Marina rail bridge to a point 900 feet upstream of the Union Pacific rail bridge. As a result of the floodway revision, the floodway shall widen with a maximum widening of 206 feet at a point approximately 167 feet downstream of the SH-200 bridge crossing and a maximum narrowing of 181 feet at a point approximately 1620 feet upstream of the Cedar Street Bridge.
