Delbert was born July 14, 1913.

He married Phyllis Lareine Hildreth on Sept. 20, 1938, and they have enjoyed 66 years together. They have four children, Delbert Henry Hildreth, Raymond Blythe Hildreth, Nona Marie Hildreth and Phillip Edward Hildreth; and 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Delbert has worked as a shepherd with a grazing range from 49 degrees north down to what is now Hanford, Wash., and from there over to the Montana border. In the war years, he worked in the ship yards.

Delbert was a lumberjack, mill worker, dam builder, road and bridge construction worker, uranium miner and a gas pipeline layer. On top of all this, he worked as a business associate for the union.

He loved his family and often took them out to enjoy nature. Delbert worked hard all of his life and did so under many hardships we might not have worked under.

He loved hunting and fishing.

Delbert will be remembered for his integrity and his love of life, which he lived to the fullest. Everyone from his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and friends were loved and blessed by his life. We will always be grateful for this great man and we wait to see him again.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Lareine Hildreth of Coeur d'Alene; four children, Delbert Henry Hildreth, Raymond Blythe Hildreth, Nona Marie Hildreth and Phillip Edward Hildreth; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dorrence Hildreth; and a sister, Elsie Cliff.
