Project's excavation proves to be upsetting

| October 10, 2004 9:00 PM

In my memories of the past 24 years, some of my favorite recollections are of the visits to Dover Point. Sometimes I'd go for a hike, or to fish or swim and sometimes just to sit and think. It gave me a sense of kinship with this small geological wonder. At times, it reminded me of a Japanese garden.

But now the excavation has begun. You can hear the bulldozers, blasting and jackhammers. I personally feel the heart and soul of my community is being torn out. This town's quaintness will be missed by many. Just because you can do something doesn't make it right.

Excuse me, I've got to take my Pepto-Bismal, my stomach is turning.
