Blanche Elizabeth Miller, 70

Blanche Elizabeth Miller, 70, returned home to her heavenly father from her home in East Hope, Idaho, on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sandpoint Ward, with President Russ Hiatt conducting. Burial will follow at the Hope Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be held Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint.

Blanche was born on May 8, 1934, in Wichita, Kan., to David and Pauline (Williams) Monroe. She grew up and attended schools in Long Beach, Calif. Blanche married Allyn "Bud" Miller on Jan. 20, 1957, in Long Beach. Blanche stayed at home and raised the couple's three sons.

In 1991, they moved to Hope, Idaho, where they remodeled a home overlooking Lake Pend Oreille. Blanche is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clark Fork branch. She is a Past Relief Society President and is a current temple recommend holder. She loved raising her family; enjoyed handwork, church work, reading, and art.

She is survived by her husband, Allyn "Bud" Miller of Hope; three sons, J. Kirk (Natalie) Miller of Sandpoint, Idaho, Thomas S. (Suzy) Miller of Sandpoint and Robert D.A. (Marisa) Miller of Orem, Utah; 17 grandchildren, Vaughn, Brannen, Jade, Kyra, and Terina (husband Etu) of Orem, Heather of Indiana, Chancey and Makai of Sandpoint, Aaron and Ryan of Los Angeles, Calif., Shane and Elizabeth of Moscow, Idaho, Tyler, Ali, Cody, McCall and India of Sandpoint; two great-grandchildren, Reina of Orem and Zoe of Indiana; her father-in-law, T.J. McClendon of Hope, Idaho; her brother-in-law, Robert (Gloria) Miller of Newport Beach, Calif.; her cousins, Cheryl Waters of Hope and Wayne Waters of Encino, Calif.; and several additional nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and mother-in-law, Mildered McClendon.
