The Local Competitive Council, a committee of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber, has a way to help local businesses learn how to deliver "Hometowne Service."

The council, which was chartered to share positive competitive business strategies with chamber members and the business community, is sponsoring its second in a series of workshops for business owners and employees.

Two sessions of the "Hometowne Service" workshops will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The first session will begin at 7:15 a.m. and the second will begin at 2 p.m.

The sessions are part of a series of council workshops that are focusing on topics such as customer service, merchandising, advertising, niche marketing, financing, retaining and training of employees. Completion of the council's series of workshops will designate the employee and participating business as a leader, providing "Hometowne Service."

The workshops goals include inspiring businesses to incorporate service practices beyond the customer's expectation and tools for successful customer relationship building.

The two sessions planned for Tuesday will focus on proven strategies leading companies use to provide customer service that "knocks your socks off," going beyond good service to involving customers in the ultimate success of your business, and building employee management teams that foster long-term customer satisfaction.

Managers, owners, and employees are invited to attend the workshops. The cost $25 per person, or $20 per person for six or more attendees from a business.

To register for the workshop call the chamber at 263-0887, or e-mail info@sandpointchamber.com.
