CLARK FORK — Lakeside was unable to finish off the Wampus Cats after winning the first two games of the NSL match, falling 20-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-12, 15-11.

"We just weren't moving as well after the second game," Lakeside coach Brad Veile said. "We fell back into old habits — standing and watching."

Kara Howard had five aces, Corrina Hendrickx five kills for Lakeside (1-1, 1-1). Krystal Stockdale and Nonna Johnson had four blocks each.

"It was a good night out; the 'W' would have made it better," Veile said.

Michelle Haase led the Wampus Cats with 25 digs, nine kills and 12 assists. Tiffany Van Buren had 15 digs and 12 kills. Tia Becker had 40 assists and Jennifer Gauthier had 13 kills.

"We had a rough start to the match," said Clark Fork coach Katie Hess. "But we did turn it around after losing two games to win the match."

Lakeside plays host to its own tourney on Saturday.
