CLARK FORK — Despite winning the first game, Clark Fork went on to drop the best of five match against Mullan 9-25, 25-18, 25-23, 13-25, 16-14 Thursday night.

"We are having problems finding some to lead our team," said Clark Fork coach Kati Hess, who is hoping someone will step up into that role soon.

"We still can't finish a match," she added. "We play one good game and that's about it."

Junior Tiffany VanBuren had 10 kills and 20 digs for the Wampus Cats, while Tia Becker added 11 aces, five kills and 12 assists. Jolen Meredith earned 11 kills, five aces and 15 digs. Michelle Haase had kills, four aces, 20 digs and 15 assists. Jennifer Gauthier had 13 kills, seven aces and 10 digs.

"When we are in the game we play good, but if we aren't up mentally we can't play," said Hess.

Clark Fork (1-3, 3-7) plays Falls Christian on Tuesday in Post Falls.
