Della Louise Hatcher, 89, of Poulsbo, Wash., died in Seattle, Wash., on Sept. 16, 2004.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Memorial Church, Munger Chapel, and Poulsbo, Wash. Private burial will be held at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Poulsbo.

She was born May 7, 1915, in Manhattan, Mont., to Frank "Frenchie" and Katherine (Redfield) Morse.

On June 17, 1934, she married Ray Ralph Hatcher.

They also helped build a church on the property, dedicating a great deal of their time and energy to the project.

Della was a devoted homemaker. She also enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher and working at the churches to which the family belonged.

Della's hobbies included quilting, crocheting, loving her grandchildren, cooking and caring for anyone in need.

Della leaves behind her children, Bernice "Bunny" Lee, Patricia and Dan Rubens, Mary Lu and Ken Holloway, and Ray Hatcher Jr.; 20 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lois Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Edgar; and a grandson, Thomas Ray Scouller.

Lewis Funeral Chapel of Bremerton, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
