Malcolm Royal Cutts, 89, passed away in Noxon, Mont., on Friday, April 1, 2005.

Family memorial services will be held at later date. Inurnment will be held in the Noxon Cemetery.

Malcolm was born in Ogema, Wis., on Aug. 17, 1915. He attended school in Wisconsin prior to joining the Civilian Conservation Corps and participating in government work projects. He served in World War II prior to moving to the Noxon area. He worked as a logger until his retirement in the Noxon area.

His wife, Irene, preceded him in death in 2003.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking, and he was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Noxon.

He is survived by a son, Royal Cutts of Noxon; four grandchildren, Josie Cutts of Issaquah, Wash., Jerome Cutts of Post Falls, Idaho, Jesse Cutts of Libby, Mont., and Javan Cutts of Post Falls; two great-grandchildren, Braden Cutts of Libby and Brenden Cutts of Post Falls; and two sisters, Nellie Schmidt of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Lydia Morisette of Hammond, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Phoebe and Lois; a brother, Stanford; a daughter, Julia; and a son, Malcolm.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
