Honor veterans who gave their lives for our freedom
For the past few years I have been collecting information concerning the many Idahoans who have died while serving in the armed forces. There really doesn't seem to be too much interest in preserving our history, especially that biological and military history of those who gave their lives for our freedoms. Nonetheless, I keep plugging along, gathering bits and pieces here and there.
I would like to ask your readers if anyone remembers a Lewis E. North, who served in the Army during World War II and died in France in late July of 1944. I do believe he is buried overseas. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
For that matter, any information concerning anyone from Idaho who died while in the Armed Services would help my endeavor.
Thanks for any assistance.
