Carl Bickel, 67, former resident of Clark Fork, Idaho, passed away in Roseburg, Ore., on Nov. 23, 2004.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2005, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint, Idaho, with Charley Packard officiating.

Carl was born on Nov. 12, 1937, and he grew up in the eastern United States. He served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. His career was spent as an electrical lineman and he was a member of the Electrician's Union.

He later worked as a long-haul truck driver and was able to travel all over the United States. He owned his own electrical contracting business in Anchorage, Alaska, for 14 years prior to moving to Clark Fork. After selling his home, he purchased a motor home and began wintering in Bouse, Ariz., and Quartzsite, Ariz.

He enjoyed riding horses, flying his airplane, traveling, country music and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He belonged to several motorcycle clubs including North Idaho ABATF, Thunder Runners in Montana and H.O.G.

He is survived by his friends, Dawn and Chris Weatherwax of Sandpoint, Idaho; two daughters, Sandra and Debbie; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and his wife, Maurine.
