James M. 'Jim' Kerr

Jim Kerr died April 21, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.

Jim was born in Sioux City, Iowa, but grew up in Walla Walla, Wash. He had a highly successful career in senior management at Rockwell International California during the Apollo/Saturn/Space Shuttle programs, and then was director of procurement and business systems at Rockwell-Collins in Dallas, Texas.

He retired to Sandpoint in 1994. He was on boards of Rotary, North Idaho Bikeways, Southside Water & Sewer District and the Antique and Classic Boat Society. He played a part in bringing the ACBS Wooden Boat Show to Sandpoint.

He is survived by his wife, Charie of Sagle, Idaho; a daughter, Denise Perrin of Rowlett, Texas; a son, Matt of Sagle; and a granddaughter, Dallas Faust of Houma, La.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint.
