Miners host meet at Sather Field Tuesday

SILVERTON — The Lakeland JV team crashed the North Star League on Tuesday afternoon, taking the girls team title and placing second in the boys team events at the Sather Field Sports Complex in Silverton.

Mullan senior Anali Carrico jumped 29-11 1/2 to earn first place honors on the day. Tiger Katlyn Valerio also posted a first place finish in the 100 in a time of 13.51. The Mullan 4x100 team also earn first-place on the day, getting the Lakeland team by a second.

Wallace freshman Tom Norris jumped a season-best 5-10 to win the High jump event, after entering the final jumps with the least scratches of a trio of Tim Wolfe of Lakeside and Jeremy Belville of Clark Fork.

Wallace and Mullan travel to the Timberlake Invite on Saturday at 10 a.m.
