Advisory vote was the right call to make

Kudos to our city government for putting this building height issue up for an advisory vote. We who live inside the city limits have a say in what goes on here. That's how the system works!
I find it interesting that the Daily Bee publisher, the director of the Bonner County Economic Development Corp, several concerned Realtors, and others are fearful that Panhandle Savings Bank just might take their ball and play on another field. That is, if we do not allow five-story buildings in our downtown core and in other selected parts of our little city on the lake.
I have also heard it said that downtown will dry up and blow away if we somehow remove the 18-wheelers from First, Cedar, and Fifth avenues.
