Michael Allen Meredith, 54, passed away, Sunday, July 24, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho, due to complications associated with multiple sclerosis, which he has suffered from for the past 10 years.
Private services have been held.
Myke was born on June 21, 1951, in Downey, Calif., to Donald and Beverly Meredith. He was raised in southern California where he graduated from Mayfair High School in 1969. He received an associate of arts degree from Cerritos College. Mr. Meredith served his country in the United States Air Force from 1970-1972.
Myke's calling was in the aerospace industry and he worked for Rockwell, Inc. in Downey, Calif. He then transferred to Houston, Texas and worked for Boeing, NASA, and the Johnson Space Center. As an aerospace engineer, he helped design the Space Shuttle.
In 1997 as Myke's multiple sclerosis progressed, his sister moved him to California. In 2003 the family moved to North Idaho.
Myke leaves behind his faithful black lab, "Bodie," who greeted him always by jumping into Myke's bed and licking his face, also his old cat, "Bernie," who traveled from state to state with Myke.
Myke is survived by his sister, Kathy (Wayland) Kroese of Priest River, Idaho; his father, Donald A. Meredith of Bellflower, Calif.; a son, Brent Meredith of California; a daughter, Myklynn Jean Meredith of Texas; a nephew, Nathaniel Lee Kroese of Long Beach, Calif.; nieces, Kimberly Kroese of Bellflower, Calif., and Katee Kroese of San Pedro, Calif.; and grandnieces and nephew Analysia, Megan, Ricky, Jordan and baby Alyssa.
Myke was preceded in death by his kind and loving mother Beverly.
