Meetings need to be held when residents can attend

| August 6, 2005 9:00 PM

Looks like the legislators did it again, scheduling a meeting during the day at 1 p.m. when most people work. It's my understanding they had a meeting scheduled for Coeur d'Alene that evening so they couldn't have Sandpoint's meeting at the same time.

They need to reschedule the meetings on different days or on Saturdays when most people can attend. I noticed the paper mentioned there were about 300 people who showed up for the meeting, making it sound like a lot people. Consider the amount of property owners in Sandpoint, let alone Bonner County. That's not even a drop in the bucket.

Maybe next time they will make a better attempt to get everyone to attend.
