Newcomer should understand hazards before giving advice

| August 10, 2005 9:00 PM

In the July 26 letters to the editor, there was an article by Linda Ousley. I'd like to thank her for moving to Sandpoint from California. She is able to tell us country folks how we should do things. She said we should have left the Panhandle Milling Company grain elevator standing. It was a beautiful old landmark, she said, a great place for kids to play and get hurt or start a fire.

There was a building like this in Spokane, and kids used to play in it. They finally burned it down, taking two other building with it. These buildings were full of lumber and it made one hell of a fire. It also wiped out my lumber planer. Linda, I think you should run for county commissioner. You would fit right in with the Know-It-All-Queen and her court jesters. They also know what is best for us poor country clods.
