Fish and Game playing favorites

| August 27, 2005 9:00 PM

In response to Sheryl Pluckett's letter to the editor on Aug. 7 about the rifle range at Bayview, a lot of people in Bonner County have had our problems with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game concerning the so-called improvements in fishing on Lake Pend Oreille.

My suggestion to your group is to get Hobart Jenkins and the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club on your side.

It seems they are the public that counts when it comes to Chip Corsi and Fish and Game. The rest of the public who live here don't count when it comes to what and how we could really help our fisheries on Lake Pend Oreille.

As far as I'm concerned, Fish and Game hasn't done one good thing with all the taxpayers' money that they waste.

They wasted $330,000 two years ago on netting the lake trout. It was proved they were wrong so now they are going to waste more money this fall netting again.

The public has no control of Fish and Game. They do what they want when they want. Good luck in trying, but don't hold your breath.
