Mary Edith Evans, 91, passed away near Sandpoint, Idaho, on Friday, Aug. 26, 2005.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, in Coffelt's Moon Chapel. Pastor David Hess will officiate with interment in the Westmond Cemetery.

Friends may call at Coffelt's Moon Chapel on Friday afternoon until 6 p.m.

Mary Edith was born on April 7, 1914, in Clyde Park, Mont., the daughter of Fenley and Mary Cook. She moved to McArthur, Idaho, in 1918, and graduated from the eighth grade at the McArthur School.

On June 27, 1931, she married Arthur S. Evans in Whitefish, Mont.

She lived in Pine City, Wash., from 1943 until 1947, when she returned to North Idaho, moving to Westmond. She helped on the farm raising sheep, and later helped with the Grade A dairy operation. She always supported her family, her community and her church.

She was a member of the Westmond/Algoma Ladies Club and the Westmond Grange. She enjoyed sewing clothing for her family and children.

She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Evans of Sagle, Idaho, Elaine Robinson of Hampton, Va., and Arlene Evans of Sagle, Idaho; five grandchildren, Jewel Willford of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jeannie Erickson of Eagle River, Alaska, Arthur Robinson of Hampton, Julie Hull of Hampton and Robert Robinson of Culpepper, Va., 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur; two brothers, two sisters and a grandson, Daniel Robinson.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
