NOTICE OF EURASIAN
MILFOIL TREATMENT
Bonner County Noxious Weed Control will be applying the product of Renovate for the treatment of the Eurasian Milfoil infestations in the following designated areas:
Sandpoint City Beach and Marina Area- approximately five acres
The product to be used is Renovate with Triclopyr. This product is fully approved for use by governmental agencies in Idaho waters for the control of aquatic weeds. Renovate is target specific for aquatic plants and has no off-target impacts on fish or wildlife when used according to the label. The application of the product will be on the exposed milfoil and is considered a dry soil treatment. Bonner County Noxious Weed Department will perform the treatment; the County Weed Supervisor is a certified applicator and licensed in the State of Idaho for aquatic herbicide treatments. The requested dates for treatment are as follows:
the Week of December 12, 2005 through December 30, 2005 will be the target dates, weather permitting. The exact time the treatment takes place the area will be posted with yellow CAUTION signs. The signs will show he following restrictions:
Human consumption- 5 days
Irrigation- 5 days
NOTICES:
The County shall notify all of the following agencies at least 24 hours prior to treatment activities: Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Idaho Department of Agriculture and Panhandle Health District.
